The daily life of a man
Men were the only people considered real citizens, so they did the most around town. Men were allowed to have jobs, take care of the land, meet with friends,and go to temples to worship the gods. Men did all the shopping an were the only ones allowed a education.
Men were allowed a special room just for themselves, this room was for entertaining male guests. No women except for slaves and entertainers were allowed in the room.

Women spent most of their time in the house. They cook, sewed, and raised the children. Women also had their own room in the house that men could not enter either .
Women's faces were very pale because they stayed inside, this is also why women's faces were painted white on Greek pottery. They also wore a lot of makeup, to show off their pale skin. Makeup was used all over their face they also covered their eyes, lips, and cheeks.

Boys went to school to read and writing they also had a private tutor to help them with their lessons.Girls stayed at home with their mothers, they helped around the house.
